For Azeribaijani hospitality and flavours
Think you’ve tried every cuisine style under the sun? You can only claim that once you’ve sampled Azeribaijani cuisine, one of the oldest and richest in the world.
This is thanks to the country’s rich history and unique placement. Azerbaijan, part of the former Soviet republic, is a transcontinental country in the South Caucasus region, at the crossroads of Southeastern Europe and Southwest Asia. As you can imagine, this location meant a medley of flavours (and plenty fresh greens and veggies) came together in a marvellous symphony for taste buds.
At Jag (meaning ‘perfect’ in Azeri), traditional Azeribaijani dishes are served (with plenty twists) in a setting that’s pure elegance. Jag also refers to the legendary kebab from Turkish province of Erzurum. So you can expect to find the perfect kebab here. Other authentic dishes to try include dolma, bozbash, soyutma, govurma, buglama, kebab, piti, plow, saj, dushbara, khingal and gutab.
Go on. Give your taste buds a treat. You’ll have ticked off one more cuisine style on your bucket list.
